KNX IoT and Matter protocol

I want know more too about knx e matter/thread…

I think that KNX Association should start a working group for the purpose of KNX-Matter interop standardisation.

KNX-Matter gateways (with and without Thread Border Router functionality) should become as ubiquitous and as well-integrated as KNX-DALI gateways, including the ability to configure them in ETS, providing communication objects to connect using group addresses etc.

When I look at what we can do with KNX and/or DALI lighting versus Matter (both Thread & Wi-Fi)… I feel like the former two technologies got stuck in the 90s (which may be good enough for commercial projects) and don't provide many options, whereas Matter ecosystem offers countless options and much more flexibility (think Matter light bulbs / light fixtures for residential projects). On the other hand, Matter ecosystem is lacking good keypad etc. solutions, so I see the two systems as complementary (much akin to KNX and DALI).

That, or there could be some push from KNX Association for Matter device manufacturers to offer KNX IoT versions of their products (just a firmware reflash away…) I don't see that as very realistic though.
