The Admin (usually the installer) makes the project in ETS Inside, and when he completes the project, he has to press the 'Release' button on the project overview.
By doing so, the project enters the 'Delivery' mode. In this mode, the Admin shall create the 'Initial user password' by filling in the password in the 'password field' and hand it over to the End Customer. There are two ways to hand over the password:
- Copy the password to the clipboard of the ETS Inside client by pressing the
button so that it can be pasted in a document or in a message, etc.
- Send it via email by checking the checkbox 'Send email'. A new email with the password in the body of the message will be triggered only when the 'Release' button is pressed.
Please note that the End Customer shall receive the 'Initial user password' from the Admin, otherwise he will not be able to login to ETS Inside as End Customer.
Once the 'Release' button is pressed, the project enters the 'Delivery mode' and this is indicated by the green icon on the main toolbar.
The two different statuses are indicated as following
![]() |
![]() |
Project not released | Project released |
Once the project is released to the End Customer and the Admin logs out of the project, the login screen shows both the Admin as well as the End Customer login. The End Customer may now login using the 'initial user password' that the Admin has provided him.
As long as the End Customer has not yet logged in to the ETS Inside server using the 'initial user password', the Admin's password remains active and he can continue working in the project, making him still able to revoke the 'Delivery' mode.
