1.The properties can be edited by clicking the corresponding field in the sidebar.
2.Select a main group in the Tree View in the Group Addresses window to add further middle group addresses.
•Using the button Add Middle Group
•Using the menu Edit/Add
•Using the right mouse button under the menu item Add Middle Group
•When creating the group address structure, it is quite common to follow the building structure when defining the Main Groups,
e. g. Main Group 1 = Building (Part) A, Main Group 2 = Building (Part) B. We recommend reserving groups 14 and 15 for central functions and 0 for enhancements.
•In former ETS versions, the main group range used to be limited to: 0..15. As of ETS4, the number of possible main groups is doubled to: 0..31. When using this extended range, please make sure that all line couplers, backbone couplers and regular devices in the installation support main group indexes greater than 15.
•Caution: If you change a Main Group or a Middle Group in an installation that has already been commissioned, you also change all subordinate (Sub-) Group Addresses at the same time. This can have an effect on many devices which may have to be re-downloaded as a consequence.
