This ETS App must be enabled using a separate license. The lock icon appears if it is not available.
This I-ETS App allows you to separately save any configured KNX devices from a project or from a catalog so that you can use them again quickly. The following aspects are of importance here:
•That you can save configured devices in folder structures which you have defined yourself outside of the project.
•That you can use devices which you have configured yourself in the project as a template including all the associated settings and parameter properties (and not the default settings from the catalog).
If a device is added to the Product Templates, then, technically speaking, it is exported to the hard drive. A separate logical folder structure can be created for the devices in the Product Templates.
Main Category (Product Templates)
Lists all product database entries from all (user-created) sub-categories located below it.
Lists all product database entries in this user-created category.
•The devices in the Product Templates are independent of a project. They can be used in any new or existing project.
•The devices in the Product Templates can be given a separate Product Template designation, which makes it possible to distinguish devices that are identical apart from their different parametrization. Initially, the product name is always applied as the designation.
Caution; an identically configured device cannot be placed into the Product Templates twice, even if it could be placed in a different category or have a different Product Template designation.
Save, Export, Import Product Templates
•Product templates, including the devices, can be exported or imported (using the standard import/export function). When doing so, you can select all or just individually selected categories. The export file will then contain only the selected categories with its associated devices. The file extension for this is *.knxtempl. To use them on a different computer, for example, the respective ETS App license must also be available there.
•When a category is deleted, all devices and sub-categories it contained are deleted as well. Devices in projects which were originally added to the project from product templates are not deleted.
•It is possible to move products from one category (including the main category) into another.
•Much the same as with the product database entries in the Catalogs window, an overview of the product database entries in the subordinate categories is displayed in the super-ordinate level here as well.
