- Theoretical exam organization should be set to offline in the course properties.
- Select the student(s) for which you want to compose the exam (training centre can compose the exam even a couple of days before the exam day).
- Download the exam file from the Download icon (1). The training centre has to hand over this file with extension .knxexam to the respective student together with the offline exam tool.
- The offline exam tool contains three files ("bin", "exam" and KNX Exam Tool.exe) that first need to be extracted by the KNX tutor. In order to start the exam, the student has to run the KNX the KNX Exam Tool.exe file and select the KNXxxxxxx-FIRSTNAME-LASTNAME.knxexam file he has received from the training centre.
- The offline exam tool will automatically create an answer file (answers-KNXxxxxxx-FIRSTNAME-LASTNAME.knxexam).
- The KNX training centre has to collect the exam files in the 'Exam" folder (questions and answers file) of all students and has to move these files to his personal computer (either via USB stick or over the network). In other words, the exam files may not remain on the student's computer.
- Once the tutor has collected all files, he has to upload only the answers-KNXxxxxxx-FIRSTNAME-LASTNAME.knxexam files in his personal MyKNX account. The upload field can be found when clicking on the person icon
next to the corresponding course.
- Click on the magnifying glass next to the student for which you want to manually enter the practical exam result.
- Enter the practical exam result and confirm.
- In our example, the student has not passed the Basic course exam (Student must pass the theoretical as well as the practical exam with minimum 50 % of the marks).
- Student is allowed to repeat the exam (see Repeating a KNX exam)
