Any device that receives a GroupValueResponse telegram from the bus will look up the Group Address (= the Destination Address) via the Address Table.
If the Group Address is in the Address Table and the telegram is received error-free, then:
- The device will send a Link Layer positive acknowledgement
- The effected Group Object or Objects will be looked up via the Association Table
If the 'C' and the 'U' (*) of the effected Group Object or Objects are set, then per such Group Object:
BCU1 devices do not support this object flag, which means that BCU1 device cannot filter GroupValueResponse telegrams, they always have the same effect as GroupValueWrite telegram
- The value of the Group Object will be updated according to the data of the payload field
- If e.g. such Group Object represents a relay of a switch actuator then this relay will be opened or closed
If the Group Address is the Address Table, but the telegram contains an error, then:
- The device will send a Link Layer negative acknowledgement
If the Group Address is not in the Address Table, then:
- The device will not react
