In order to install the ETS Inside server, you have to either buy a license from MyKNX if you would like the full functionality, or download it from the Downloads section of MyKNX, if you only need the demo version.
Once the download of the setup file is complete, copy it to the device where the ETS Inside server needs to be installed, making sure that the hardware requirements are met.
Locate the ETS Inside setup file that you have downloaded from MyKNX. Usually, this is under C:\Downloads, however the download location is user-specific and maybe different. In this example, the setup file is stored on the Desktop.
After you have located the ETS Inside setup file, open it by double clicking it. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and agreed to the License agreement.
To confirm it, check the checkbox and press the "Install" button.
After pressing the "Install" button, you may receive a security warning (User Account Control message, depending on the computer's settings) asking you to confirm the ETS Inside installation. Press "Yes" to continue.
The installation of the ETS Inside, will start, enabling also Windows features related to web services, as well as the auto-discovery service in order to be discoverable when looking with your ETS Inside client for an available ETS Inside server.
A successful installation, will give you the following message. In some cases, you may have to reboot your computer in order the setup to be completed. In such a case, you will see a warning from Windows.
Please note, that there is no icon on the desktop shown or an entry in the Windows Start Menu once the ETS Inside server is installed. ETS Inside server is a Windows service that runs in the background of your computer and you need one of the ETS Inside clients to be able to work with it.
