Auto connection
After the installation of the ETS Inside server on a device that is connected to the KNX installation, as well as after the installation of the ETS Inside client, you have to select the ETS Inside server you want to connect to. If the ETS Inside client has detected any ETS Inside server(s), then they will show up when opening the ETS Inside client in the 'Auto' panel.
Please note that the ETS Inside server as well as the ETS Inside client have to belong to the same network.
Then, in order to be connected to an ETS Inside server, you have to select one of the found ones. To do so, just tap the desired server. If none is found:
- For Android and iOS clients: Simply pull down the list of servers in order to refresh the list.
- For Windows clients: Tap the 'Manual' and then the 'Auto' again.
Once you are connected, you will be redirected to the login page. If you encounter issues (white screen or redirect to the server list) when trying to connect, then please update your ETS Inside server and client to the latest version.
Manual connection
An additional option is, to manually configure the connection to an ETS Inside server by tapping the panel 'Manual' and then filling in the IP address of the ETS Inside server. Then tap the 'Connect' button to be connected.
Once you are connected, you will be redirected to the login page. If you encounter issues (white screen or redirect to the server list) when trying to connect, then please update your ETS Inside server and client to the latest version.
Only if the connection's address is filled in, is the button 'Connect' enabled.
An ETS Inside device can only accept one client connection at a time, therefore it is not possible to connect simultaneously with two clients (e.g. an iPad and a Android Tablet).
ETS Inside server uses port 8081 and this cannot be modified.
