This option is available for all target ETS versions.
The help file must be in Windows Compiled HTML Help (CHM) format.
When the user launches external help, the Windows Help viewer displays the help file in a separate window.
The external help file (and its translations) has to be added to the manufacturer's Baggage element and referenced in the Help File property of the ApplicationProgram.
Starting with ETS 5.6 it is possible to provide context-sensitive help directly within the parameter window for the following elements:
The individual help topics must be provided as text files.
All context help topics used in a application program have to be contained in a single ZIP file, with all TXT files in the root directory of the ZIP structure.
The context help file (and its translations) has to be added to the manufacturer's Baggage element and referenced in the Context Help File property of the ApplicationProgram. In the MT project, the file has to be added to M-manufid\Baggages directory (or a subdirectory thereof).
The texts may contain some limited formatting. The following markdown features are supported:
Bald/Italic (Note: no spaces between * and the formatted text):
