After the check-out from your basket, you are asked to insert an invoice address.
Once this is done you will probably see this red error message stating No VAT provided.
No panic, please read below:
Depending on your situation you will need to do the following:
Do you order as a private person?
No problem, in this case, ignore the red error message about the VAT, leave the VAT field of your invoice address empty and continue the order. Consequently, you will be charged your country’s VAT, bound to products such as downloadable software.
Do you order as a company?
Open the invoice address (pen icon) and enter a European VAT number, valid for European transactions within the EU (not to be confused with your national VAT number). If our system refuses your VAT number, please check its validity for the European market on http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/
Your company has no valid European VAT number?
You can always apply for a European VAT number if your company is eligible for VAT exemption via this site: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/eu-vat-rules-topic/vat-identification-numbers_en
If your company is not eligible for VAT exemption, ignore the red error message about the VAT, leave the VAT field of your invoice address empty and continue the order. Consequently, you will be charged your country’s VAT, bound to products such as downloadable software. If you forget to insert your VAT number and your order is already paid, a refund of the VAT difference is possible for an administration fee of €50.
If you order from outside Europe (as a company or private person)
Please ignore the red error message about the VAT as you are not eligible for European VAT.
Leave the VAT field of your invoice address empty and continue the order.
Your order value is €0?
Please ignore the red error message about the VAT during your order procedure, as no VAT can be applied. Leave the VAT field of your invoice address empty and continue the order.
