Problem when downloading MDT KNX-USB interface (ETS v5.7.6)
Hello,
I have installed a MDT SCN-USBR.02 USB interface in my KNX installation, and so far it worked fine for downloading all my other devices (actuators, binary inputs etc..).
However, when trying to download the device itself from ETS, I get the following error:
Error reading MProp
I manually changed the individual address from the automatically assigned 1.1.5 to 1.1.255, and now I get :
An error occured accessing the bus
So I'm stuck...
The ultimate goal is to integrate the KNX installation into an OpenHAB home server, running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with openhabian as the OS. Until today, I did not succeed to install the KNX serial binding in openHAB (failure to open serial port /dev/ttyAMA0)
I wonder if the first problem is linked to the second, although I suspect the second has more to do with the setup of openhabian /openHAB on the RaspberryPi..?
Any help will be appreciated.

Problem not solved... but explained! :
Meanwhile, I also contacted the MDT support, and this is what they answered:
The UBS interface can only be used for programming the components via the ETS. If you want to access the system externally, there is the tunneling access or multicast access via the network. Tunneling access is supported by the IP interface and the IP router supports tunneling & multicast access.
So, I was misled by the name giving and the very sparse documentation of the MDT USB interface.
The conclusion is I'll have to take a different approach now. This thread can be closed.
