All the online catalog details for a device should be accessible  via the SDK. The online catalog has details such as device description text, image, links to PDF, manufacturer family tree etc. 
It is notorious difficult to get KNX device information from manufacturers and even harder in the same format. Web shops, distributors and other interest groups can use this information for a central place to check for new device updates. This will also strengthen the online catalog because it will make it more important to manufacturers if they know their information is spread this way.
