Old ABB Universal Dimmer Scenes
Hi Friends,
I need some help with an old ABB KNX setup.
A part of the setup looks like the following:
1 x UD/S 6.315.2 (Universal Dimmer - 6 Fold)
1 x UD/S 4.210.2 (Universal Dimmer - 4 Fold)
1 x JRA/S8.230.2.1 (Shutter Actuator - 8 Fold)
1 x 6320/50-24G-500 (Keypad - 5/10 Fold)
We are using ETS 6 Lite for the programming, with legacy enabled for configuring the Universal Dimmers.
We are able to program the keypads and actuators for individual lights switching/ lights dimming/ shutters functions. However, we are facing issues with configuring scenes in the Universal Dimmer actuators.
1. I have set buttons on the keypad to send a light scene number by enabling the "light scene extension unit with memory function" parameter. (image 1)
2. I open the parameters of the Universal Dimmer by clicking on the "Open product specific parameter dialog" button (image 2)
3. The 6 fold Universal Dimmer parameters show the dimmer groups (image 3)
4. I activate the General Function in the lower panel and select the "Light Scene Actuator" option (image 4)
5. I set the number of scenes as 4 (image 5)
6. I set the Number of Actuator Groups as 6 as this is a 6 fold Universal Dimmer (image 6). The object type of each actuators group can be set. I have set each of them to 1 byte (0-100%).
7. I configure each of the scene with a scene number, and value for each actuator group.
8. This gives me a group object for "Number of light scene" and for each "Actuator Group". (image 7)
9. I finally linked these group objects with the scene Group Addresses that have been created separately.
However, when we programmed the actuators, the scenes do not work. There's not a lot of documentation on these old actuators. I seem to be missing something here.
Request your help in pointing me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
