Change existing KNX system
Hello, I am new in this KNX system form and I would appreciate some helping hands. We got KNX installed and programmed in our house. Normally I am always get myself involved in the construction etc but I realized that with KNX I am depending on the electrician and his program to do any changes or adding new lights. This is not quite what we had in mind and in case he will win the lottery and move to an Island far away I want to know what I can do to get control over my own system. I saw that you can by KNX programs and I presume they help me with programming and controlling my KNX system. In our case it is all programmed already so my question is; ,, do I need any project file on USB from my electrician to be able to manipulad the KNX''? And which program do I need to buy to be able to program our KNX by myself? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Jackobs,
with "Change" you mean reprogramming your devices? This should be made by qualified person.
If your word "Change" instead mean "control" your devices, you can add a supervision system that allow you to create scenes, scheduler etc. from your phone or pc without need to asking to installer for each setting editing.

Hi Chiara, thanks for your reply.
In my case I want to be able to make changes, for example, if I want to turn on the light for the hall then I push the top right switch on the wall panel, now I want to change that position to the top left side on the switch. It is basically changing the position from the lights on the switches.
Cheers

Dear Jackobs,
thanks for clarification so you need to reprogram a single push button device.
You have two choice:
- learn ETS, buy a programming interface and do it on your own.
- ask to installer, no worry if your is gone, there are many certified partner around the world.

Dear Chiara,
Yes, it would be programming a single push button, although I also would love to be able to reschedule some of the wall devices. Program one push button at the main entrance to shut off all the light sin the house and visa versa. Which of the online programs would you recommend to be able to do this kind of reseting and programing as a private user. Cheers Arne
