Limit Group Monitor Message Count

The Group Monitor will currently display 100k telegrams and discard the oldest on receipt of another.

It would be useful to be able to adjust this value down, for example to 1k, to improve PC performance in some instances. i.e. while on-site with an under-powered laptop.

    You can achieve this by cheating the system a little. Only do this if you feel comfortable following the steps.

    1. Close ETS6
    2. Open Windows Explorer
    3. In the address bar type %localappdata%\KNX\ETS6, which will lead you to some of ETS6's files
    4. Find the file "monitor.settings"
    5. Make a copy (backup) of the file
    6. Open the original file in a notepad application. This is an XML File.
    7. Towards the half-point of the file contents, you'll see "TelegramMonitorSettings Monitor="GroupMonitor"". On that line there is an attribute called "MaxTelegramsInRam", which is defaulted to 1000000 (1 mill). Change it to whatever numeric value you want.
    8. Save file
    9. Open ETS, and the new value should be respected when opening Group Monitor.
