Anyone use the Free Level Group Address structure?

We're looking into migrating to the free level group address structure to make our projects more scalable and organised. Anyone got any experiences, good or bad?

The major downside that we've found so far is the need to predefine the sizes of your group ranges, which is simply not possible or practical on projects with thousands of KNX devices. This is documented below, would appreciate people's thoughts on it.
