Connecting my PC to apartment's KNX system
Hi Forum,
I'm relatively new to KNX. I have the .knxproj file for my apartment, and a license for ETS6. I'm ready to make my first few small changes.
I cannot, however, find any good info on connecting to the KNX system via my PC's USB port. I believe the easiest way (from observing an electrician a while back) is to connect a USB cable it to the 6215-0310 multitouch panel in my living room, since that's easily accessible. But I don't know what sort of USB/KNX interface I need, and where exactly to connect the wires.
I've uploaded a photo of the back of my unit. I assume I need to jumper onto the red and black bus connecting terminals, but I can't figure out the best way, and what is required to interface to a USB port.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

As far as I know, you don’t need to wire the KNX USB interface directly into the touch panel itself. You can simply connect it to the same bus cable (red/black) at any accessible point, such as in the distribution board. Once you plug it in, ETS6 should recognize it automatically.
