ETS6.3.0 error - The given key was not present in the dictionary
After updating ETS6.1.1 to version ETS6.3.0, every time ETS6.3.0 was launched, the ETS-error "ETS cannot be started due to a severe error and has to be closed. Please restart your computer. If the problem persists, please contact KNX support. The given key was not present in the dictionary."
1. Before installing the ETS6.3.0 update, I had previously updated all ETS Apps and Catalog Updates in version ETS6.1.1 (2025-02-06).
2. Then, directly in ETS6.1.1, I updated to version ETS6.3.0.
3. Both the download of version ETS6.3.0 and the installation itself were successful.
4. After starting ETS6.3.0 for a longer period of time the message "Updating Product Catalog ..." was displayed in the ETS6.3.0 window
5. After the message "Waiting for tasks to complete ..." appeared the ETS-error "ETS cannot be started due to a severe error and has to be closed. Please restart your computer. If the problem persists, please contact KNX support. The given key was not present in the dictionary."
6. Pressing the OK button in the ETS-error window caused ETS6.3.0 to terminate.
7. Then I downloaded version ETS6.3.0 (Released: 10 December 2024, Build 7959) directly from knx.org

8. I uninstalled ETS6.3.0, restarted my computer and then reinstalled the previously downloaded ETS6.3.0. However, this had no effect because the same error "The given key was not present in the dictionary." still occurred.
9. I uninstalled ETS6.3.0, restarted my computer and then reinstalled version ETS6.1.1 and then ETS6.1.1 started and worked correctly.

10. I started looking for a solution to the problem and under one of the links I found a list of 8 errors that appear in ETS6.

11. Cause of the error: "ETS6: Product storage data is corrupted". If ETS does not start or takes too long to update the product catalog cache, the ProductStore folder may contain incorrect and/or inconsistent data.
12. Troubleshooting: Rename the " ProductStore " folder (e.g. add "_old" to the folder name). The default " Product Store " directory is "C:\ProgramData\Knx\Ets6\ProductStore".

13. I updated ETS6.1.1 to ETS6.3.0 on two different computers, a PC and a Laptop.
14. For the PC, I did the update available in ETS6.1.1, which caused an error, the solution of which is in point 12.
15. For the Laptop, I did the update directly from the downloaded Ets6Setup.exe file (Released: December 10, 2024, Build 7959) and here everything went smoothly and the error did not occur.
