A 'special rule for KNX tutors' is put in place for KNX tutors who are at the same time KNX partners and visible on the website. These tutors can organize additional course types without actually having taken these courses themselves:
- This special rule is applicable only for KNX tutors, who have passed the Basic, Advanced, and Tutor course. The KNX tutor receives 40 credits for the Basic, 20 credits for the Advanced, and 10 credits for the Tutor course. This means that the KNX tutor has gained 70 credits for the Knowledge category.
- Since a KNX tutor is authorized to train students for the Refresher, HVAC Specialist, and Energy Management courses, he is automatically granted additional credits without needing to pass these courses himself. Specifically, the tutor receives 10 extra credits for the Refresher course, 15 extra credits for the HVAC Specialist course, and 15 extra credits for the Energy Management course. In total, this amounts to 40 extra credits awarded under the special rule.
- To avoid any abuse of this calculation, the total credits are always set to 110 credits for all KNX tutors. This means that the total amount will be reduced or summed up to 110 credits. This will be reflected in the special rule section. Tutors shall not attend any additional course types to increase their credits for the "Knowledge" section (except for the eCampus and Webinars).
