After registration, the product will be listed in a central database referred to as the MyKNX product catalog. The MyKNX product catalog lists all products that have been registered/certified/withdrawn so far. A product which still has the 'registration' status is marked with a danger icon for:
- CE (=CE compliance check mark missing) and/or
- TR (Test report missing).
Only after successful tests and subsequent certification of the product by KNX Association, these danger icons will disappear.
An email will be sent to the Certification coordinator informing him that the product has been successfully registered. Successful registration does not always imply that the *.knxrcd file can be automatically downloaded from the MyKNX account of the manufacturer (represented by download icon). Two options are possible:
*.knxrcd file not available in MyKNX (1)
If the *.knxrcd file is not provided in MyKNX (Account/Manufacturers/Products/Product registrations), then this means that the Certification coordinator has received/will receive in a separate email, a proforma invoice by which KNX Association allows itself to charge the registration fees. Once payment is done, the *.knxrcd file will be automatically available in MyKNX.
*.knxrcd file available in MyKNX (2)
If the *.knxrcd file is provided in MyKNX (Account/Manufacturers/Products/Product registrations), then this means that the Certification coordinator has received/will receive a proforma invoice by which KNX Association allows itself to charge the registration fees. This proforma invoice might contain one or more registration applications that have been requested in the past.
Note:
- In case of questions by KNX Association, the Certification coordinator will receive a notification via a built-in chat function in the MyKNX product registration tool.
- The Certification coordinator has the possibility to reply to those questions.
