Device Compare App license issue
Problem:
Even with a valid Device Compare license, ETS fails to recognize the license and displays that the app is Unlicensed as shown below:
Resolution:
Please get in contact with us providing your license number and we will assist you.
Archive enumeration fails
Problem:
You are unable to access the archive, and it shows a continuous enumeration process without completing, as shown below.
Resolution:
In your project archive data there are empty files (0 bytes). Those need to be removed. If you are unable to find them, please get in contact with us and provide us a link where we can download your project archive folder.
Workspace saving issue
Problem:
Workspace is not saved correctly when closing ETS using the 'X' button in the window, causing settings or layout to be lost upon reopening.
Resolution:
If the project is closed using the black 'X' to the right of the bus interface selection menu or by clicking the project information 'i' in the top menu bar, and then reopened, everything functions as expected. However, if ETS is closed directly and reopened, the views will be missing.
Monitor: "Write value" dialog
Problem:
The "Monitor: Write Value" dialog is not wide enough to properly display the DPT 251.600, causing parts of the information to be cut off or not visible.
Resolution:
Open the monitor and write the value using the monitor settings directly.
Licensing Issue
Problem:
ETS displays a message indicating that the license is already in use by another user and prevents the license from being picked up as shown below.
Resolution:
You can try one of the following two options:
Option 1
- Click the "Start in Demo" button.
- Once ETS starts, click your account and log out.
- Then, login again.
Option 2:
- Login into your MyKNX account.
- Navigate to "Account → Products".
- Select your ETS license and click on "Cloud License".
- Click on "Disconnect".
- This will remove the product from the existing session, allowing you to log in to ETS successfully and fetch it correctly.
"Out of memory" error message when starting ETS
Problem:
ETS displays an "out of memory" message when starting. In most cases, the root cause of this is because of the project archive having an outdated schema and must be optimized using the 6.3.0.
Resolution:
Clear the user settings as explained here, and then immediately start the optimization of the archive using the Optimize Archive button.
