Client-Server concept

The software consists out of two parts:

• Server: red icon
• Client: black icon

Server

1. The server simulates the KNX bus:
   • Any interaction with ETS
   • Any device interaction on the bus: telegrams
2. To activate the server
   • A KNX Virtual license is required
   • A login to myKNX is required: this to check the presence of at least one KNX Virtual license

Client

1. The client simulates user actions inside rooms:
   • pushing buttons
   • opening/closing windows
   • room occupation
   • movement inside a room
2. The client visualizes the effects of loads controlled by the KNX devices
   
   • room temperature, because of valve control and/or opening/closing windows
   • room brightness, because of switching/dimming lights and/or re-positioning blinds/shutters
3. The client visualizes the possible effects of the chosen weather type
   • room temperature because of the outside temperature
   • room brightness because of the outside brightness
4. The client is only effective if the server is active
