When the documentation as mentioned in Product testing is submitted to KNX Association and positively assessed, KNX Association will issue the KNX certificate of conformance to officially confirm the right for the products concerned to bear the KNX Trademark.
Sequence of events:
- The KNX accredited test lab will create an online test report in its MyKNX account and will inform both KNX Association and the KNX manufacturer about the availability of a positive test report.
- KNX Association will certify the Main product and the danger icons next to the Main product will disappear. Two items will be available in the MyKNX account of the KNX manufacturer (product catalog section (1) by clicking on the magnifying glass next to the relevant product entry (2) and thereafter on the magnifying glass next to the application program (3)):
- Updated *.knxrcd file containing the 'certification' status of the product (4)
- KNX certificate of conformance in PDF format (5).
- Any related OEM product will be automatically certified too in this process, informing the OEM customer about the availability of the items mentioned in the point above.
- The KNX manufacturer must import the new *.knxrcd file as explained in Import registration file in the Manufacturer Tool and create a new *.knxprod file.
- All previous *.knxprod files with 'registered' status must now be replaced by this new *.knxprod file with status 'certified'.

When the documentation, as mentioned in Product testing, is submitted to KNX Association and negatively assessed, KNX Association will oblige the relevant applicant the following:
- To withdraw the product from the market.
- (If applicable) To confirm directly in the MyKNX account of the applicant that the application program is no longer distributed by means of ETS product data entries or used in projects.
