The KNX product registration request shall be made through the MyKNX account of the Certification coordinator of the OEM customer:

1. The Main manufacturer must first deploy (1)(2) the product as well as the corresponding application program for the OEM customer that wishes to sell this product with its own company name and own product data entry. The deployment of product and application program shall be done in the MyKNX product catalog of the Main manufacturer (Account/Manufacturer/Products/Product catalog/OEM deployment).
   
   
   
   
2. The Certification coordinator of the OEM customer uploads the OEM *.knxei file that he has received from the Main manufacturer.

This means that either the OEM customer does not have a Manufacturer Tool license and/or he/she does not want to do the administrative work in MyKNX. In this case, the following steps have to be taken:

1. The Main manufacturer must first deploy the product and the corresponding application program for the OEM customer that wishes to sell this product with its own company name and product data entry (see screenshots above).
2. The OEM customer has to invite (1)(2)(3) the Certification coordinator of the Main manufacturer to become their "OEM Certification coordinator". An email will be sent to the Certification coordinator of the Main manufacturer. A correct role assignment is indispensable.
   
   
   
3. Once the invitation has been accepted in the email, the Certification coordinator of the Main manufacturer will become a "member" of the OEM customer. Assign the correct role to this person (1).
   
   
4. The Certification coordinator of the Main manufacturer now has to select the professional account (1) of the OEM customer in his/her MyKNX account and upload the *.knxei file on behalf of the OEM customer (2).
