The style only defines the appearance of the Group Address in the ETS user interface. The following styles are available.
The table below shows the different styles and their properties.
# | Presentation Style | Name / Icon colour | Example |
1 | 3-Level | Main/Middle/Subgroup | 1/3/5 |
2 | 2-Level | Main Group/Subgroup | 1/25 |
3 | Free-Level | Subgroup | 300 |
Changing Styles
The Group Address style is set in the Project settings separately for each individual project. When switching styles, the selected (and possibly open) project will be closed so that the necessary changes can be made. After that, the project must be reopened by the user.
Source Style | Destination Style | Comment |
2-Level | 3-Level |

2-Level* | Free-Level |

3-Level | 2-Level |

3-Level* | Free-Level |
|
Free-Level | 2-Level | X No automatic mapping of source style to target style is possible and it is not possible to switch from the Group Address style free-level to 2-level or 3-level. For example, this means that it is not possible to switch from a 7-level style to a 3-level style because the 3-level style cannot process the four remaining user-specific descriptions and these would therefore be lost (theoretical case, that the free-level style has 3/2 levels is only an academic argument). |
Free-Level | 3-Level |
* The 2/3 level styles are only a subset of the free-level style.
