Install ETS6 Apps

An ETS App is a functionality extension, i.e. it adds functionality to ETS6. In order to add this functionality in ETS6, a binary file ('.etsapp') shall be installed in ETS6. To make this happen, please follow the steps below:

1. Visit MyKNX and sign-in in your account. Go to 'Account-->Products' section. 

2. Find the ETS6 App license that you have previously bought, under the 'Licenses' section and then click the 'Download App' button to download the 'etsapp' file, which will add functionality in your ETS6.

3. Start your ETS6; Click on the 'Settings' button from the main toolbar on the Dashboard...

4. There are two ways to install the ETS app in ETS:

• Using "Install App From File" in the "ETS Apps" section(Applicable for all app types)
• Downloading licensed apps in the "ETS Apps" section (Applicable only for licensed apps)

Using "Install App From File" in the "ETS Apps" section(Applicable for all app types):

1. Click on  'ETS Apps' in order to open the app installation window.

    2. Click the button 'Install App From File' to locate and install the '.etsapp' file.

 3. Locate the etsapp file, select it and then press 'Open' button. Your ETS App is now installed! You will see the new entry appearing in the list of available Apps.

Downloading licensed apps in the "ETS Apps" section (Applicable only for licensed apps):

Please follow the steps below to download the ETS app automatically once you have licensed it:

1. Download the app license from your MyKNX account and license the app. For more details, refer to the ETS6 App licensing guide.

2. Once you have licensed the app, click on the "ETS Apps" section to download/install the app.
3. You will see a new entry for the installed licensed app automatically. The app will show a “cloud download” icon in a new first column in front of the app icon to install/download. Additionally, you will see the "Install App" option in the sidebar.

4. Download the app using either of the above options.
5. Your ETS app is now installed! The “cloud download” icon and the "Install App" option in the sidebar will disappear after a successful installation.

If you have already an old app version and the manufacturer releases a new version, you can update the app by pressing the "Update Now" option. Additionally, you will see "Update Available" text in the "Version" column as shown below.
