In case an ETS project import fails, then try one of the following options according to the source of the project:
- From ETS5
- From ETS4
- From ETS3 or ETS2
From ETS5
Incorrect structured data
The project was exported from ETS5:
- And the ETS5 import failed, giving the following error message 'Your project contains incorrectly structured data. Please contact KNX support for help getting your project repaired.' then download the repair tool from here.
- Extract the contents from the zip file ensuring that any antivirus/firewall does not delete any file.
- Drag'n'drop the knxproj file onto the 'formatter.exe'.
- The repair tool will repair the project file and create another knxproj file with the appended text "_wellformed" at the end. Use the that file as the project file to be imported.
Other - The project was exported from ETS5 and the original source is available
- And the ETS5 import failed, then try by exporting it again from the original source.
- If after having exported the project again, the import still fails, then please report the issue and provide us with the 'ProjectStore' folder indicating the project name(s) (and the project password if any).
Default Project Store location: C:\ProgramData\KNX\ETS5\ProjectStore
Other - The project was exported from ETS5 and only a knxproj file is available
