In case it is not possible to export a project from ETS, then several options exists in order to recover the data from its source, according to the type of source:
From ETS5
From the Project Store
- If a regular 'Export' of the project failed and if the feature 'Restore Points' is enabled, try to restore the most recent 'Restore Point', then try to export it again.
- If also restoring a 'Restore Point' fails, then please report the issue and provide us with the 'ProjectStore' folder and indicate the name of the project(s) (and the project password if any) to be exported.
The default location of the Project Store is: 'C:\ProgramData\KNX\ETS5\ProjectStore'
From the Project Archive
- If the project to be exported is a local copy from the 'Project Archive', then make a new local copy and try to export it again.
- If also exporting the new local copy fails, then please report the issue and provide us with the 'ProjectArchive' folder and indicate the name of the project(s) (and the project password if any) to be exported.
The default location of the Project Archive is: C:\Users\Public\Documents\KNX\Archive\

From ETS4
If the export from ETS4 failed or is not possible, then try again by using the ETS Project Exporter. If this is not possible, then please report the issue and provide us with the database file (.mdf) or the database backup file (.bak).
From ETS2 or ETS3
If the export from ETS2 or ETS3 failed or is not possible, then try again by using the ETS Project Exporter. If this is not possible, then please report the issue and provide us with the database file (.db).
How to send the files
1. Zip the 'ProjectStore' folder or use the corresponding database.
2. Attach the compressed 'ProjectStore' folder (zip file) or the corresponding database in your report about the issue.
3. Indicate the name (and the project password if any) of the project(s) to be recovered in the report.
If the zip file or the database is bigger than 20MB please use a file transfer service like www.WeTransfer.com or www.Dropbox.com and include the link in your report.
