Introduction
In order for an App developer to test and evaluate an App prior to validation, a dedicated App test license shall be created. With such App test license, it is possible to install and run a non-validated App either in ETS5 or in ETS6.
ETS5/ETS6 must be licensed in order to run any ETS App (at least ETS lite).
For dongle-based test license : Each App test license is created for a specific ETS App and bound to a Dongle ID, and expires after 30 days. You can however re-generate it as many times as you need for testing. If a tester is removed from the organization, their license will expire automatically after the expiry date.
For cloud-based test license : The App test license is created and bound to a MyKNX username, remaining active for 30 days and automatically reactivating every 30 days. If a tester is removed from the organization, their license will expire automatically after the expiry date. Users also have the option to manually delete the Tester license via the MyKNX Account under "Device Testers."
There is no need to download any license from the MyKNX account, as the cloud license is automatically prolonged with the user account.

Click on "ETS App Testers" under ETS Apps
3. You can see the window to invite the Tester. Click on "Invite Tester".
4. Select Username/Email and click on the "Invite" button.
5. The Tester will get the invitation through email and MyKNX notification.
For existing Email/Username: The Tester should go to MyKNX, click on notification and accept the invitation.
or Go to the email, accept the invitation by clicking the email link (in case you already have a MyKNX account).
or: Go to the email and create an account by clicking the email link (in case you don't have already a MyKNX account).
After the tester successfully completes the registration process, tester will receive an email containing instructions to activate account. This email will provide the necessary steps to activate the account and gain access to the ETS App Tester platform.
Once the tester has successfully activated his account, tester will receive another email. This email will contain an invitation to accept the ETS App Tester license. By accepting this invitation, the tester will officially become a licensed ETS App Tester and will gain access to all the features and functionalities of the ETS App Tester platform.
6. Upon accepting the invitation, the Tester will receive a confirmation email.
7. Also, Once the invitation is accepted by the tester, the Developers can view the invited Tester's details under ETS App Testers.
8. The Developers have the option to add the required app license by clicking on the pencil mark located under the added Tester row. This feature allows Developers to easily manage and assign the necessary licenses to Testers.
9. Add the required App and click on create.
10. App developers can see all Apps for which the Tester has a test license.
11. The Tester will receive an email containing the additional details of the app that has been added.
