- The audit will be carried out onsite or online by an Assessment team, consisting of an auditor (from the KNX Association's staff members) and external (technical) experts who have been recruited from KNX Association's member companies and have duly signed a confidentiality declaration.
- The delegation of the KNX candidate test lab shall consist of at maximum the KNX test engineer(s), the Head of the KNX test lab and optionally the Director of the candidate test lab (or his representative). The assessment duration depends on the number of tests, for which a test lab has filed for accreditation.
- If the outcome of the audit is positive, KNX Association will issue:
- A proforma invoice for the Audit fees in MyKNX: Only the costs for the staff members from KNX Association have to be borne by the candidate test lab. KNX Association will draw from its own financial resources to refund the travelling expenses, living allowances and any other required fees of the selected external assessment team member if the audit took place onsite.
- The KNX accreditation certificate.
- Once this order is confirmed and paid, the test lab will be considered as a KNX accredited test lab and its online test reports will be accepted as a basis for issuing KNX product certificates. The test lab will also be shown on the website as a KNX accredited test lab.
- If the outcome of the audit is negative, the laid down measures shall be corrected within the time specified by the assessment team: if this is not possible, the entire assessment round has to be repeated.
