The validity of the KNX certificate is identical to the national ISO/IEC 17025 certificate or ISO 9001 certificate (covering testing operation). Every three years, the KNX accredited test lab is submitted to a surveillance audit.
During a KNX surveillance audit, past KNX conformity test reports are reviewed together with KNX engineers. Particular attention is given to the level of performed functionality and interworking tests, ensuring compliance with the minimum requirements defined in Volume 8/7/1 of the KNX Standard.
This constitutes the main focus of the surveillance audit, ensuring that the depth of testing across all KNX accredited test labs remains consistent and comparable.
