Important settings for recording and for recording files.
þ Enable live logging of telegrams in a file
This option determines whether the telegrams recorded by the monitoring function are saved directly. All other options on this page are disabled as long as this option is not enabled.
Filename of the live logging file
Selection of the path and filename. The format of the log file is XML, the memory content of the file is always in the ETS4/5 format (see here).
Start a new live log file
This option determines when a new log file is created. Some of the other options described after this one are only feasible and enabled if a "number" is chosen as settings.
þ Limit memory space used for log files
Use this option to specify the maximum space used for log files. If the limit is exceeded, the oldest log file will be deleted first.
Telegram coloring for standard or user-defined conditions. User-defined conditions must already exist (i.e. have been created previously). Otherwise they are not available in the list.
Standard telegram color
Defines text/background color for telegrams which do not meet any condition.
Conditional telegram color
Defines text/background color for telegrams which meet a condition.
•Use the Add button to add an existing condition to the coloring.
•The Priority column specifies in which order the coloring should be applied.
•The Up/Down button adjusts the priority.
If the condition "Unknown Source Address" is encountered during the analysis of a telegram and it has a higher priority than a user-defined condition for a source (such as 1.2.200), then the user-defined coloring will not be applied. In this case, you must set a higher priority for your condition than the global one. Avoid different definitions which fulfill the same condition.
Telegram conditions for coloring.
Lists all conditions (ETS default and user-defined conditions).
•ETS default conditions cannot be edited
The Security property filters for telegrams with KNX Secure
•Use the Add button to add a new condition
Defines the condition. A maximum of six independent expression parts may be set. All of them may be conjugated with AND or OR.
Conditions for the decoding of the contents in the monitor.
Enables the advanced DPT decoding (when referenced to a project) for the display of the contents of telegrams in the Info column (Details).
Use ETS App for Decoding
If one or more decoder ETS App(s) from KNX manufacturers are installed, the respective currently active decoder is selected here. A multiple selection or cascading (simultaneous execution, e.g. sequentially) of decoders is not possible.
