KNX NextGen educational institutes can create and manage their KNX courses directly in MyKNX.
1. Add course
Go to Account → NextGen educational institute → Courses and click Add course.
2. Enter course details
Enter the applicable course information.

| Name: | Give the course a specific name, e.g., NextGen course 2023-2024 |
| Course type: | Select NextGen |
| Teachers: | Select the KNX Teacher(s) or KNX Tutor(s) who are going to organize the course. |
| Lecture language: | Select the lecture language of the course. |
| Training documentation language: | Select the language of the training documentation. |
| Exam language: | Select the exam language. |
| Location: | Select On-site when the course is organized at the training centre or Other location when it is organized elsewhere. When selecting another location, enter the complete address. |
| Theory Course | This is always on-site. |
| Practical Course | This is always on-site. |
| Theoretical exam organization: |
Select whether the theoretical exam will be organized online or offline. When Online is selected for the theoretical exam the students' computers shall have an internet connection and each student shall have access to their personal MyKNX account. For more information, see Organizing an online theoretical exam. When Offline is selected for the theoretical exam, the students' computers do not require an internet connection. The training centre shall provide the students with the required offline examination tool. For more information, see Organizing an offline theoretical exam. |
| Software version | Select the ETS software version that will be used during the course. |
| Notes | Enter any additional information for students, e.g. Bring your own laptop. |
| Email notification to students prior to the course | Select how many days before the course students shall receive a course notification. |
3. Create timetable
In the second window, drag and drop the different course modules into the calendar.
The following requirements apply to the KNX NextGen course:
- The total course duration, including the theoretical and practical exams, shall be at least 30 hours.
- At least 50% of the total course duration shall consist of practical training.
- All mandatory blue and green course modules shall be included in the timetable.
- The individual modules may be spread over several weeks or months.
- The theoretical and practical exams are considered as 'theoretical.'
4. Save and enable the course
