Below is a concise, step-by-step guide for using Online Catalog
1. Prepare your product data
- Ensure your product database is available in .knxprod format (convert from VDX if needed).
- Verify that all product information (application program, parameters, languages, etc.) is complete before upload.
2. Upload your catalog to the KNX Online Catalog
- Log in to MyKNX.
- Navigate to Account → Online Catalog → Upload catalog.
- Upload your knxprod file and confirm the submission.
3. Manage your product catalog
- Go to “Manage catalog” in the portal.
- Use the tree structure or search field to locate your products.
- Select a product to:
- Edit general information (name, order number, version)
- Upload product images
- Update metadata or application details
4. Define markets (availability per country)
- Assign your products to specific markets.
- Only products assigned to a market will be visible to ETS users in that region
5. Configure languages
- Define the supported product languages.
- ETS users can filter products based on their preferred language, so ensure correct language coverage
6. Publish and maintain your catalog
- Once uploaded and configured, your products become available in the ETS Online Catalog.
- Updates are:
- Automatically detected by ETS
- Or can be triggered manually by users via “Update now”
7. Keep your catalog up to date
- Regularly:
- Upload new application versions
- Update product data and images
- Adjust market availability if needed
8. Verify visibility in ETS
- After publishing:
- Check that products appear correctly in ETS (Catalog panel).
- If not visible:
- Verify market and language settings
- Confirm the upload was successful
