The title bar (2) indicates the contents of a window.
Clicking on the window designation to the left in the title bar opens a drop-down menu in which you can change the content of this window at any time without having to close the window and open another (exceptions are Bus Monitoring, Group Monitoring and ETS Apps that were explicitly created to behave this way.
- Use the symbol ^ at the right edge of the title bar to cause the context-dependent tool bar to be hidden or shown; this setting remains unchanged.
- The symbol
maximizes the currently active window within the workspace (the symbol is only enabled when there is at least one additional panel in the working panel). All other panels from this window then appear as new ones! Window in the Project Bar (the associated project name is also shown with the window name).
This now makes it possible to open several windows in one project and these can also be subdivided into individual panels. In addition to this, the monitors can also be used this way as separate (maximized) windows.
Because the content of each window can be set individually, this feature can be used to display two or more windows of the same type. This can be useful e.g. for comparing the parameter settings of two devices.
