ETS Language

This setting defines the language of the ETS user interface. When changed, the user will automatically be requested to change the 'Preferred product language' too. The setting takes effect when ETS is closed and restarted.

The available ETS languages are installed together with ETS, without the possibility to exclude some of them. These are the following:

Preferred Product Language

This setting defines the language of the product data (properties, Group Objects, catalog entries, etc.). This language may differ from the ETS user interface language, this could be the case if the product data is not available in the ETS user interface language. The setting takes effect when ETS is closed and restarted.

Plug-ins from old ETS versions use their own mechanism to determine the product language, therefore changing the preferred product language does not have any effect here.
