Predefined Menu Key Combinations
ETS uses predefined keyboard shortcuts in the menus of the Menu Bar. When the Alt key is pressed, these shortcuts are indicated by an underlined character, as in Copy or Delete. These shortcuts can only be invoked by pressing the Alt key + the underlined character from the menu.
Windows default keyboard shortcuts
The following Windows default keyboard shortcuts are supported and cannot be modified.
-
[ALT] + [F4] = closes the current ETS6 main window. Only if the last ETS6 main window will be closed, the whole application closes (compare closing a main window with the red X button in the window title bar).
-
[CTRL] + [F4] = closes the currently active tab. If this was the last tab of the current main window that was closed, a new overview tab will open instead.
-
[CTRL] + [TAB] = selects the 'next' tab in the current main window. If the current tab is the rightmost one, switches over to the first one.
-
[CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [TAB] = selects the 'previous' tab in the current main window. If the current tab is the leftmost one, switch over to the last one.
