The entire functionality here serves the purpose of adding devices to a project. There are three different possibilities for adding a device.
1. The Add button
Allows several settings for the target location to be made. The individual options are (from left to right):
- How many devices will be inserted at one time
- Into which panel
- Into which element (the type is dependent on the panel selection)
You can also quickly and easily select options 2 and 3 by clicking on the target element, e.g. a Room in the Buildings panel or a Line in the Topology panel. ETS will make the above settings accordingly. The 'Add' button is enabled only if a device is selected.
2. A Double-click
Double-click on a device (uses the settings as described in 1. above).
3. Using Drag & Drop
Drag the device from the Catalog panel into another panel, for example, the Buildings or the Topology panels.
