Dialog 'Installation / Configuration'
- This dialog gives the complete overview and control to commission KNX Virtual devices
- Programming buttons: see 'Device identification'
- Device certificates for secure devices: see 'Device certificates'
- The 'ProgVersion' and 'Status' columns indicate the current configuration status of the respective device
Couplers: 'Description' column
- Extra indication regarding their configuration status:
- Undefined
- Backbone Coupler
- Line Coupler
- Segment Coupler
- Extra indication regarding the usage of their filter tables:
- Per direction: from primary to secondary on the left side of the '/' and vice versa on the right side of the '/'
- Possible values: 'block', 'forward', 'filter' (filter table being applied)
About the segments
- The 4 segments, together with the respectively connected devices can be recognized/located by means of their coloring:
- S1: yellow
- S2: light yellow
- S3: light cyan
- S4: cyan
- The couplers take 2 'spots'; one for their primary side and one for their secondary side:
- D19: primary in S1, secondary in S2
- D5: primary in S2, secondary in S3
- D18: primary in S3, secondary in S4
Device identification
- 'ID' column
- These identifiers are used as reference for any further documentation of the devices
- The cells also serve as programming buttons (by clicking them)
- 'OrderNr' column
- Order number according to the ETS online catalog
Device certificates
- The column 'AES' indicates whether a device can encrypt/decrypt telegrams and whether this feature is activated:
- '-' : device cannot encrypt/decrypt telegrams
- 'No' : device can encrypt/decrypt telegrams but is not activated
- 'Yes' : device can encrypt/decrypt telegrams and is activated
- The device certificate can be made visible by clicking the cells (only for devices that can encrypt/decrypt telegrams)
Individual Address
The individual address is split up in 3 columns:
- A: area
- L: line
- D: device address (within the line)
