Whether the Certification coordinator of the Main manufacturer uploads the *.knxei file on behalf of the OEM customer or the Certification coordinator of the OEM customer uploads the *.knxei file as explained here, the online data sheets have to be completed by referring to the original product and application program of the Main manufacturer.
Referring to the original product and original application program is only possible if the Main Manufacturer has released the corresponding main product and application program for OEM deployment to his OEM customer.
- Once the *.knxei file is uploaded, the registration type for both product and application program will be automatically set to OEM.
- There is a check mark for the hardware data sheet, which means that you do not have to fill it out (even if it is empty).
- Fill out the data sheets for both the product and the application program (2)(3)
- Enter the original registration number, order number or product name deployed by the Main manufacturer in MyKNX.
- Enter the original registration number, order number or product name deployed by the Main manufacturer in MyKNX.
- Request the KNX registration of the OEM product as explained in Request official KNX registration.
In the case of certification relevant modifications to hardware/software, which is sold via OEM, the Main manufacturer shall always inform his OEM customers.
Note:
Registration of a Main product is a prerequisite for registration of a product derived from the latter.
