The Manufacturer Tool allows the manufacturer to create a test project in the form of a *.knxproj file before official registration by KNX Association has been requested. This *.knxproj file shall only be used in ETS to test unregistered products - without KNX logo - before official submission of products for registration. This solution may not be continued during the entire commercial life of the product.
Therefore, it is forbidden to put *.knxproj files on the website or on (hidden) cloud servers and to make any publicity claiming that these products are certified.
Note: To enable device developers to test and evaluate unregistered devices, a dedicated Device Tester License must be created. This license allows the import and testing of unregistered devices within ETS6. See Device Tester licenses article for more information.
