Step-by-step guide to enabling and disabling two-factor authentication for your MyKNX account, and using recovery codes if you lose access to your device.
- 2FA is disabled by default. It's strongly recommended for all accounts and mandatory for accounts using ETS6 cloud licensing.
- Enable it via Account → Profile → Settings using any authenticator app.
- Store your 10 recovery codes safely. You'll need them if you lose access to your authentication device.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your MyKNX account. Even if your password is compromised, 2FA prevents unauthorized access by requiring a second form of verification.
By default, 2FA is disabled on new MyKNX accounts. Enabling it is strongly recommended for all accounts and mandatory for accounts using ETS6 cloud licensing.
