Project function toolbar
Some of the functions shown below are only visible when a project is explicitly selected or when the context menu of a selected project is opened.

Adds a new project to the project memory and opens a dialog for entering the required data. The following options are provided in order to configure the basic project settings. Name Project Name, can be changed later. If a project with the same name already exists, then a consecutive number in parentheses will be added to the name, e.g. "(1)". Backbone Topology medium for the backbone; can be changed later (default = IP). Topology Create line 1.1 If checked, then line 1.1 in the topology will be created in the medium specified in the dropdown below (default = TP). If this option is not activated, only the backbone line 0.0 is created. Group Address Style Defines the Group Address style used in projects. For more information see here. |

Creates a project with the Project Wizard. |

Imports one or more projects at the same time (depending on the selection in the File selection dialog) with the help of the Import Wizard. It is also possible to import without the Import Wizard. To do so, hold down the SHIFT key down while clicking on the Import button. For more information see here. |

This function is only available if at least one project has been selected. |

Searches within the local project list in the same way as for each ETS search function. |
Context menu of a project
Selecting at least one project and right clicking triggers the context menu of projects. The available features are group per functionality type and are listed below.
Project editing

Opens a selected project; ETS switches automatically to the corresponding project view. More than one (i.e. different) projects can be open at the same time. In this case, ETS will display an additional project bar. |

Deletes a project and there is no Undo! For this reason you will first be asked to confirm your decision (even when the warning for deleting is deactivated)! |

Copies a project. The copied project is automatically given a default name extension (" - Copy").
If projects are copied as a clone with KNX Secure activated, all keys (and the device security) are retained. In a project copied as a clone (copy), the device security status is retained; all other keys are created new and passwords are deleted. |

Split & Merge app functions

Merge Merges a previously split project back into one, for more information see here. |

Reset split A project split is reset. This function is always active even if the selected project has never been split using the ETS App Split & Merge. |
Those functions are only available if the Split & Merge app is licensed.

Those functions are only available if the selected project has already been archived once.
Project Properties
This section contains four tabs for the purpose of making all project-specific settings. This section is only available after a project has been selected.
Multiple selection of projects in the project overview is possible. These can then be deleted or exported in one step (the export is done per project with the respective project name; there is no merging of projects into an individual project file).
