The Energy Management course highlights the growing importance of building automation in achieving energy efficiency, especially in response to evolving environmental and regulatory requirements. In this course, KNX partners are introduced to a variety of KNX-based strategies and tools designed for effective energy management. These include methods for visualizing energy consumption to raise user awareness and the integration of smart meters to enable advanced features such as load management.
The theory and practical part of the course are delivered in a face-to-face (F2F) format. During the KNX Energy Management course, the following key topics will be addressed:

Requirements for the KNX Energy Management Course
- The total course duration must be at least 13 hours.
- Students must have successfully passed the KNX Basic Course exam prior to enrollment in the Energy Management Course.
- All topics included in the official KNX Energy Management Course documentation must be covered within the course duration.
- The course must be delivered by a KNX-certified tutor, covering both theoretical and practical content.
- During practical sessions, there must be one KNX tutor for every 16 students to ensure effective hands-on instruction.
- The practical portion of the course must account for at least 50% of the total course time.
- Students must pass a theory exam with a minimum score of 50% to complete the course. The exam regulations can be found under Exam Regulations for the different courses.

- The certificate issued upon successful completion must align with the official sample certificate provided in the document ‘Annexes,’ available on the KNX Cloud Server.
