Since the launch of ETS6, ETS Supplementary licenses are no longer sold. To enable innovative new ETS licensing models going forward, we discontinued the ETS Supplementary product — both in our catalog and in MyKNX accounts.
Customers who still had ETS Supplementary products in their account have had them automatically replaced with individual ETS Professional licenses of the same version. This replacement was carried out in the background by our system at the end of September. As part of this process, each replaced Supplementary product also received a new, unique license number.
If you previously had ETS Supplementary products, you will now see the following:

Before, a customer had:
- 1x ETS5 Professional license — 0490000000123456
- 1x ETS5 Supplementary (under the same license number)
- 1x ETS5 Supplementary (under the same license number)
After the replacement, the two Supplementary products have each been converted into an individual ETS5 Professional license, each with its own new license number. The customer therefore now has three separate ETS5 Professional licenses:
- 1x ETS5 Professional license — 0490000000123456
- 1x ETS5 Professional license — 0490000000123457
- 1x ETS5 Professional license — 0490000000123458
The same principle applies to ETS4 Supplementary products.
What happens to Apps associated with an ETS5 Supplementary dongle?
The dongle ID linked to the license stays the same after the automatic replacement. You do not receive a new dongle for this change, so there is nothing you need to do — all Apps previously associated with that dongle remain associated with it, despite the license number change.
If you want to upgrade:
Since all former ETS Supplementary products have been replaced with ETS Professional licenses, you will no longer find an upgrade option from ETS5 Supplementary in the MyKNX Shop. Only upgrades from ETS5 Professional to ETS6 Professional are available.
